Burlington Humane is a volunteer run non-profit organization. We do not receive any government funding to operate Burlington Humane. We rely solely on support from the community and we pride ourselves on being up front and honest about where you donation dollars go...to the animals.

We believe that each and every animal coming into our care deserves a better life, and has the right to a safe and loving home, please help us help the animals today. Your donation will help with many things, here are just a few:

• The cost of running the shelter and providing a place of refuge for stray and abandoned animals
• Vaccinations, spaying and neutering for animals coming into the shelter, thus reducing the amount of disease and homeless pets in our community
• Necessary and possible emergency medical care for animals coming into our care
• Daily needs of the shelter such as maintenance, technology, cleaning and animal care supplies

Monthly Giving
Your ongoing support with a monthly donation is an easy way to show your caring and support for the animals. Your monthly donations are very valuable in assisting the animals.

In Memory / In Honour
Remember those who have passed on while helping the animals. Your donation could be in honour/memory of a loved one or in memory of a beloved pet.

A One Time Donation
Any amount of donation is always appreciated. Some ideas could include donation of your birthday money or wedding money to the animals or perhaps run a small fundraiser to help raise funds.

Members are regular supporters of Burlington Humane. Many members are also monthly donors.

Cage/Room Sponsors and Naming/Memorial Opportunities
Why not sponsor a cage or room in honour of someone special or even just as added support! We also have many lovely naming/memorial opportunities in places inside and outside the shelter. These are two special ways of showing you care.

Sally Fund
The Sally Fund is a specific fund with the sole purpose of covering medical costs of homeless dogs with heartworm disease or injuries requiring surgery. "Sally", one of these dogs, suffered from heartworm disease, was treated and adopted. Would you please consider donating to this cause and save a life!

Ariel Fund

The Ariel Fund is a very specific fund with the sole purpose of covering unusual medical costs of homeless cats with injuries requiring surgery or extraordinary medical care.

Through CanadaHelps
CanadaHelps is our original method of donating (online) to the Burlington Humane Society. A tax receipt will be issued from CanadaHelps.
