The Attic Store
Did you know that Burlington Humane Society has a retail store for gently used items situated at 479 John St. in downtown Burlington? A fixture in downtown Burlington, the store opened in July of 1984 and is fully staffed by our dedicated volunteers. Click here for a map

The Animal Aid Attic, as it is known, is open Monday to Saturday from 10am to 4pm. All donations are resold to help the dogs and cats of Burlington. We appreciate all glass, china, clothing, books, etc. that the public kindly donates to us.
A "TAIL" OF ANIMAL AID CATNIP MICE.......

At the Attic we are very proud of the high volume of sales from our "Special Catnip Mice" made by many of our dedicated volunteers. Emilie Prue (pictured below) has been making the mice for over 15 years and makes over 300 a year. Frances Ganski has been making the mice for even longer and supplies us with approximately 1000 per year! The catnip used is specially grown on the grounds of the Burlington Humane shelter. Johanna DeBoer originally designed the prototype for the mice which has been modified throughout the years by each individual creator; catnip balls are also made. Mice are also made by volunteers at the the Burlington Humane Society Centre but Emilie and Frances always manage to keep plenty on hand to replenish their supplies when necessary, especially for special events such as the the Pooch Promenade, Ruff Ride and pictures with Santa.
Thanks to ALL of these special volunteers for making the countless kitty cats of Burlington so extremely happy!! Thanks also to our many catnip mouse customers, some of whom come into the Attic regularly specifically for a cute catnip toy for their feline family. Definitely no cat should be without one of the Burlington Humane Society's catnip mice!!!
1/2 PRICE SALE STILL ON ALL CLOTHING AND BOOKS!!
