Aida Finch

(Ida) has been an active volunteer since October 2010.  Her volunteer duties include: Pet Therapy, Fundraising and Events, Cat Feed and Clean, and Dog Walking.  Although she enjoys all her volunteer duties at the shelter, she is especially fond of the Pet Therapy program and finds it extremely rewarding.  Her future goal is to expand the program into an educational directive and promote awareness to students within the community.  By focusing on our children, we can instill compassion and understanding towards people and animals. She moved to Burlington from Vancouver 10 years ago and shares her life with her husband Brent, and two lovable Schnoodles Abby and Charlie.

“I’m honored and thrilled to be a part of the BHS.  I love animals, I’m extremely compassionate towards them, and I’m sensitive and passionate about the cause.  We have a wonderful shelter filled with very special people who share the same values.  Together we can all make a difference and initiate a positive influence to future generations.”
