Join us for the Pool Party of the summer at this year’s splashtastic Pooch Plunge!

Held on Saturday, September 7, a week after Nelson Pool closes to the public, the chlorine levels are dropped to make the pool dog-friendly and it becomes available for a dog-only swim before the pool closes down and is cleaned for the winter.

The pool has a beach-style shallow entry to allow dogs to walk into the water gradually, though dogs are also welcome to jump in off the deeper sides! Pawrents – sorry – this event is for the pooches only – due to the lowered chlorine levels, no humans are allowed into the water.

The inner pool area is fully fenced in, allowing for it to be designated as off-leash for the day. Our trusted volunteers will manage the gate entry to ensure no escapees!

In the outer pool area, please visit our local vendors, and check out our Info Booth to learn about all that we do at Burlington Humane while you wait for your timed slot.
