The Ariel Fund is a very specific fund with the sole purpose of covering unusual medical costs of homeless cats with injuries requiring surgery or extraordinary medical care. “Ariel”, a rescue cat, was diagnosed with bilateral luxating patellas – a condition where the kneecap slips out of its normal position. She required two knee surgeries to prevent lameness as she aged. Ariel was treated over several months and then adopted into a wonderful home.
